Academic career:

Martín Testa (Ph.D. in Linguistics, University of Warsaw, 2019) specializes in psycholinguistics with particular focus on second and third language acquisition. He also holds an M.A. in English Philology (2013) from the University of Vigo, Spain. In 2011 he taught Spanish summer courses at the University of Bielsko-Biała (Poland) under the Erasmus Practice programme. Around that time he also started collaborating with several language centers as a teacher of English, Spanish and Italian. In May 2019 he defended his doctoral dissertation entitled Análisis de variables psicolingüísticas en la interlengua de alumnos polacos de español L3 (‘Analysis of psycholinguistic variables in the interlanguage of L1 Polish students of L3 Spanish’) under the supervision of Prof. Jacek Perlin. His current main area of research is the role of motivation and learner agency in the foreign language learning process from a Complex Dynamic Systems Theory perspective.
