Academic Career:

PhD in Comparative European Literature at the Institute of Literary Research, Polish Academy of Sciences (Warsaw) in a cotutelle agreement with the Universidad Autónoma of Madrid (Faculty of Philosophy and Literature, Department of Linguistics, Theory of Literature and Comparative Literature) (2012). Thesis title: New Insights into the Metamorphosis Motif in Relation to the Contemporary European Narrative (José María Merino, Natasza Goerke, Bernardzo Atxaga and Dino Buzzati). Research Project financed by the National Polish Center for Science (NCN Grant promotorski NN103 063338), a Scholarship from the Validation and International Exchange Office (Warsaw) and a Scholarship from the Polish Foundation for Supporting Sciences (Kasa Mianowskiego, Warsaw). Workshops “History and Literature” (2012) and “Recreating History: Appropiations and Public Uses of the Past” (January 2019) at the Hispanic Institution Casa Velázquez, Madrid. Scholarship from the Cervantes Institute and Fundación Caja Murcia for the Course for Young Hispanists at the headquarters of the Cervantes Institute (Madrid, January 2008). Postgrad Studies in Humanities at the Institute of Literary Research, Polish Academy of Sciences, Warsaw (2002-2004). Final grade: excellent. Five-year university degree in Slavic Philology at the Universidad Complutense of Madrid (2001). Speciality: Polish Philology. Since 2012, she has been working in the fields of Memory Studies, Gender Studies and Comparative Literature. She is specially interested in women’s experience during the Holocaust in Polish Culture and the Post-war period in Spanish Literature.
