St. Gallen Symposium 2018
It is our pleasure to inform you that your students have again, for the 30th time since 1989, the unique opportunity to qualify for an all-expenses-paid participation in the world’s premier forum for intergenerational dialogue, the 48th St. Gallen Symposium (www.symposium.org). We are writing to ask for your support in encouraging your students to seize this unique opportunity.
We are a nearly 50-year-old student initiative and invite graduate and postgraduate students from all fields of studies and corners in the world to compete for the St. Gallen Wings of Excellence Award by writing a compelling, inspiring and thought-provoking essay. Each year, this competition offers graduate and postgraduate students from all fields of study the unique opportunity to participate as “Leader of Tomorrow” at the St. Gallen Symposium, in company of 600 entrepreneurs, top managers, politicians and scientists from more than 60 nations. Your student’s are invited to submit their thoughts and visions to the question “Robots are coming for your job. How do you augment yourself to stay economically relevant?” at www.symposium.org/apply. Closing date is 1 February 2018.
The 48th St. Gallen Symposium is devoted to the theme “Beyond the end of work” and will be held from 2–4 May 2018 in Switzerland. We are honoured to have welcomed renowned participants such as Kofi Annan, seventh Secretary-General of the United Nations, Kersti Kaljulaid, President of the Republic of Estonia, Aubrey De Grey, author and biomedical gerontologist, Christine Lagarde, Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund, or Jack Ma, Chief Execute Officer Alibaba Group or Muhammad Yunus, Nobel Peace Prize laureate.
As your university is among the leading in the world, we strongly believe that your students should have their say at our global conference and they should become part of our global community.
